What was the starting point, what did I do, what came out of it. Three projects, told openly.
Gerwing Steinwerke
Gerwing manufactures paving stones – in a league where hardware stores buy from them. When I joined in 2023, the existing shop needed a fundamental redesign: better user guidance, a working sample ordering system, clear paths for dealers and end customers.
I rebuilt the entire shop from scratch. WooCommerce as the base, but heavily customized: a stone sample ordering system with email tracking, product filters by color, format, and application area, price groups for different customer types.
The result: A shop that serves both audiences – end customers who want inspiration, and dealers who need to order quickly. Since then, I maintain the shop alone. One contact, short paths, direct implementation. → More about online shops
WBG Pooling
WBG Pooling rents out reusable transport packaging across Europe. The website goes far beyond a company presence – it's an industrial portal with interactive 360° product views, a circular economy diagram explaining the pooling process, and a job board integration that automatically syncs open positions.
On top of that, a password-protected sales center for distribution partners. The foundation: WebDeck – a custom plugin I developed for onboarding and training portals. Quiz system, progress tracking, PDF certificates, role-based content. The same system powers employee onboarding for other clients.
I also connected the contact forms to Salesforce (Web-to-Lead), so inquiries land directly in the client's CRM. This project shows what happens when a website doesn't stop at "looks good." → More about custom solutions
Seniorpartner in School e.V.
For Seniorpartner in School, I created a digital impact report for a social organization active across Germany. Rather than producing a PDF report, the organisation's work was prepared as an independent website.
I implemented the technical side as static HTML: with an interactive SVG map of Germany and a clear, accessible presentation of the content. Annemarie wrote the copy and we developed the format together.
The project shows how extensive information can be published clearly and durably on the web, without a heavy CMS and with a design that keeps the focus on the content.

A completed major project from 2023–2025.
Web presence for a corporate group
For Runden Group and its subsidiaries, I built the web presence: 11 bilingual WordPress websites using YOOtheme Pro, a careers portal and a podcast area.
I also developed internal tools for onboarding and documents. For two years, I held technical responsibility for public websites, portals, updates, content maintenance and new features.
